Preparations for Belarus’ participation in Summit of Future and High-Level Week of UN General Assembly discussed in Minsk
Belarus’ Deputy Foreign Minister Yuri Ambrazevich has met with UN Permanent Co-ordinator in Belarus Rasul Bagirov, sb.by reports with reference to the Belarusian Foreign Ministry’s press service
The meeting discussed interaction between Belarus and the United Nations, as well as the directions and priorities of the UN programme activities in our country. The two sides paid attention to the issues of Belarus’ socio-economic development and the achievement of SDGs within the framework of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
The parties also shared their views on approaches to the co-ordination of co-operation in the context of the preparation of the draft Framework Programme of Belarus and the UN in the area of sustainable development for 2026-2031.
They also discussed the preparations for the participation of the Belarusian side in the activities within the framework of the upcoming major events at the UN: the Summit of the Future and the High-Level Week during the 79th session of the UN General Assembly in New York.
“We have agreed to continue developing constructive relations between Belarus and the United Nations,” the Foreign Ministry said.
