Poland signed agreement to set up Abrams tank service centre in Poznan
A service centre for American Abrams tanks will be set up on the territory of Poland, with the corresponding agreement already signed, RIA Novosti reports
As the Polish Armaments Group (PGZ) informed that the centre will be set up in the Polish city of Poznan.
“A service centre for the maintenance of Abrams tanks will be established on the territory of the military plant in Poznan. The agreement on this issue was signed by representatives of the Polish Armaments Group and tank manufacturer General Dynamics Land Systems,” reads the statement.
First, this centre will service the equipment that Warsaw acquires from the United States. However, as noted, it’s possible that in the future ‘the units of the American troops will be able to use the potential of the centre’. This refers to those units that are deployed in Poland and other European countries.
