Photo exhibition dedicated to 70th anniversary of Belarus' accession to UNESCO opened in Paris

The grand opening of a photo exhibition dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the accession of the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation to UNESCO took place at the UNESCO headquarters in Paris, sb.by reports with reference to Belarus’ Foreign Ministry

The guests were presented with an exposition of unique archival photos reflecting various periods of interaction between the two countries with the organisation.

In his welcoming speech, Kirill Grushevsky, the Deputy Permanent Representative of Belarus to UNESCO, drew attention to the significant contribution of the republic to the work of UNESCO, as well as the successes achieved by Belarus over the past 70 years.


The Belarusian diplomat spoke of the importance of international partnership based on equality and respect, and he also noted Belarus' commitment to dialogue and mutual understanding.

The event was attended by diplomats accredited to UNESCO and France, UNESCO secretariat staff, figures of culture and art, as well as representatives of the Belarusian diaspora.

A tasting of traditional drinks and dishes of national cuisine was organised for the guests.
