Peskov: there’s great threat of sabotage at Zaporozhye NPP by Kiev
The threat that Kiev will organise a sabotage at the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant is really great – as stated by the press secretary of the Russian President, Dmitry Peskov, RIA Novosti reports
As noted by Mr. Peskov, the situation around the station is quite tense. “The threat of a sabotage by the Kiev regime is really great. This sabotage can be catastrophic in its consequences," he said.
According to the Kremlin representative, by undermining the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant, the Ukrainian authorities have once again proved that they do not shun anything.
At the same time, Mr. Peskov emphasised that all measures are being taken to counter threats at the moment.
The Zaporozhye nuclear power plant is located in Energodar. It includes six power units with a total capacity of 6GW and is the largest nuclear facility in Europe. Since the end of February 2022, the NPP has been controlled by Russian forces.
