During the conversation, the guest first of all thanked the Head of State for the meeting and conveyed the warmest wishes of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and leader of the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz Sharif.

Sardar Ayaz Sadiq stated that he shares the position of the Belarusian leader regarding the development of relations between Belarus and Pakistan, “We enjoy good bilateral relations. There are more than 90 bilateral agreements and treaties, but they are not implemented sufficiently in practice.”

The Pakistani parliamentarian also said that, during his talks with the President of Belarus, the parties discussed a wide range of issues, and decisions were promptly made on the issue of visas for students and business representatives of Pakistan. The deliveries of agricultural products and machinery, in particular, Belarus tractors that enjoy popularity in Pakistan, were discussed in detail.

“I also congratulated the President on Belarus' entry into the Shanghai Co-operation Organisation and expressed my personal support. Due to its geographical location, Belarus plays a key role in the transnational One Belt, One Road trade corridor,” Sardar Ayaz Sadiq stressed.

According to the guest, the parties intend to intensify bilateral ties in terms of parliamentary co-operation. “The trade turnover between our countries does not meet the existing potential, therefore we intend to intensify the exchange of business visits. We also plan to work out the issues of opening sales and service centres for Belarusian agricultural machinery in Pakistan," he said.

In addition, Pakistan is interested in the deliveries of Belarusian furniture and working on the establishment of a joint furniture production.
