Over 500,000 people visited Khatyn in 2023
The press service of the Minsk City Executive Committee reported on the most popular and promising tourist destinations in the central region
The Khatyn Memorial Complex – where a permanent exhibition of the new museum began its work about a year ago – leads in attendance among the Minsk Region museums and numerous landmarks significant for all Belarusians, and it was visited by over 520 thousand Belarusians and more than 11 thousand foreigners in 2023.
In industrial tourism, BelAZ JSC enjoys the greatest interest and over 50 thousand tourists visited this legendary domestic auto holding during the year.
The Committee also noted the interest of Belarusians and foreign guests in ecological and religious tourism. There are 280 specially protected natural areas in the region, the most famous is the Narochansky National Park. Within the Minsk Region alone, there are more than 500 religious buildings, 4 Orthodox monasteries and more than 200 tourist routes offering visits to temples and holy places.
