Opinion: Americans earned billions of US Dollars from Ukraine conflict

Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted that the Ukrainian authorities want to present to US President Joe Biden, as well as candidates for the post Donald Trump and Kamala Harris, an action plan prepared by Kiev to end the conflict with Russia. In his talk with Alfa Radio, Aleksei Avdonin, an analyst at the Belarusian Institute for Strategic Research, contemplated whether we should attach great importance to this information, which appeared against the background of Ukraine’s bellicose statements and actions in recent weeks.

First of all, the expert drew attention to the absurdity that Kiev should show some kind of plan to Washington, “It is necessary to be so dependent on the will of the United States to do so! The status of Ukraine, which is formed by the country’s national elite, is, of course, extremely tragic for the entire Ukrainian people. The Ukrainian elite betrayed their people, entered into some kind of collusion with the Anglo-Saxon elites and now – after a bloody war – they are still putting forward some peaceful plans. The level of absurdity is getting higher. Why? Because the United States, as the centre of decision-making on the Ukrainian conflict, is itself at an impasse. The United States has a huge number of financial, economic and political problems it cannot settle. In 2014-2022, the US used Ukraine as some kind of element to solve geopolitical disputes in Europe. The American authorities placed big bets on the Ukrainian project, hoping to undermine Russia’s financial, economic and political positions on the world stage. However, this did not happen, the project failed and now they do not know what to do with it: it is hard to carry, but it is also very insulting to quit.”

Moreover, the analyst added that no matter what Kiev says, now it, like Washington, is aimed at continuing the military conflict, “People will continue to be destroyed in order for the US military-industrial machine to work. Military equipment brings the main income to the country. The Americans earned billions of US Dollars from the conflict in Ukraine and, thanks to the war, pulled their economy out of the deepest crisis in which it was previously. The economic growth rate of the US military industry is about 17-19 percent. This has never happened before! Therefore, naturally, they want to maintain this conflict and earn even more from the deaths of Ukrainians.”
