The American authorities should send thousands of troops to protect the southern border of the United States against migrants – as stated by the ex-advisor to Pentagon chief, Colonel Douglas Macgregor, RIA Novosti reports

According to Douglas Macgregor, it is necessary to protect the US borders immediately. He announced the need to transfer 70-80 thousand troops to protect the southern borders, and also added that war is the last thing the United States needs now.

The United States is recording record levels of illegal migration. In December last year, border guards recorded 302,000 illegal border crossings, which was the largest number in one month.
