On resignation of Polish army commanders

Polish President Andrzej Duda has accepted the resignation of the Chief of the General Staff of the Polish Army, General Rajmund Andrzejczak, and the Operational Commander of the Armed Forces, General Tomasz Piotrowski, appointing new military leaders. Polish media say the reason for their resignation is rooted in a conflict with Polish Defence Minister Mariusz Blaszczak.

The Polish army has got absorbed in playing politics, becoming a PiS puppet. There have been too much ostentation, pre-election and militaristic advertising recently, but this all has brought little use.

It is bad when the army becomes a hostage of political adventures, and this is how the degrading situation in which the Polish army has found itself can be generally characterised. What else is it possible to say in excuse of the army, which has discredited itself by massacres and murders of refugees? Did it act in obedience to an order? No. Any army of the world has the right not to execute criminal orders. This means that a mature soldier or officer would not perform what Polish politicians and generals ordered them to do in the border area with Belarus. Moreover, by giving a criminal order, a commander should understand that his fighters will no longer follow him in an attack after they realise everything, since the army – that has embarked on the path of crime – becomes a gang of bandits. Meanwhile, the army is distinguished from the gang not so much by discipline as by honour. This is already a steady trajectory of decline, rather than growth, to which the pre-election slogans of the Polish Defence Ministry and Kaczynski's campaign headquarters are devoted. Actually, the Polish army – mired in politicking and lies – has become an accomplice of indelible shame, and this was done just for the US puppets to stay in power to satisfy American interests to the detriment of Polish ones.

Clearly, due to such an approach, the prestige and professionalism of the 3rd RzechPospolita defenders will decrease, while the żołnierz uniform will be associated mainly with deception.

With this in view, the secrets of the military strengthening of the border with Belarus and ‘innocent’ flights of Polish military helicopters into the Belarusian territory ‘without violating the neighbouring borders’ did not result in unconditional confidence among Polish voters. The latter also watched the parade of the remnants of the army and weapons in Warsaw without any newspaper euphoria, doing that in order to please the pride of the ruling PiS. People in Poland were not happy about the vegetating and drunkenness of the military contingent in the border region, and also the desertion. In addition, the fragments of Ukrainian missiles, which slipped into the country unnoticed by the Polish air defence and even killed a couple of farmers, aroused a special surprise.

Of course, against the background of the depressing truth, commercials about brave soldiers fail to stir up the desired enthusiasm. In turn, films that encroach on the already flawed reputation seem to arouse worry. The Polish elite, both military and civil, very painfully perceives such non-status creativity and, accordingly, equates it to high treason. Why?

With this approach, the Polish army is already clearly losing the war for Polish hearts. The number of those willing to serve will never be able to satisfy the plans envisaging the largest army in Europe. The policy of pre-election intimidation of Polish nobility by threats from Russia, Belarus, Wagner and even Germany has long exceeded the reasonable level and has produced an opposite effect. As they say, ‘no one wanted to die’ for this power, and nobody wanted to vote as well.

The demarche of the high command of the Polish army no longer looks sudden in this situation. Instead of breasting against the threat growing from all sides, the chiefs of the General Staff and the Operational Command banally washed hands and resigned during a period of aggravation of the situation around the world.

In short, two-thirds of the high command did not regard the commander-in-chief and the fate of the NATO eastern flank. They either failed to cope with criticism, or were just offended, or maybe simply followed their pre-election intuition.

Anyway, it seems this PiS ship is doing so badly that the captains escaped it earlier than rats. Apparently, it won't sail for long.
