Olympic Games organisers in Paris face shortage of funds due to inflation

The organisers of the 2024 Summer Olympics do not have enough money due to rising inflation in France, AFP reports

As informed, Solideo – responsible for construction of Olympic facilities and other infrastructure for the Games – increased the budget to 4bn Euros last summer, and 1.55bn of the sum are to be allocated by the state. Due to rising inflation, the company calculated that it needs additional funds from the budget.

Security is another problem that the Olympics organisers need to solve: there are now not enough people to maintain public order during the Games.
