Number of DPR and LPR refugees arriving in Russia exceeds 80,000
The number of residents of the Donetsk People’s Republic and the Luhansk People’s Republic evacuated to Russia since February 18th continues to grow. As of today’s morning, it exceeded 80,000 – TASS reports, citing a source in power structures
“As of February 22nd morning, 80,800 residents of the Luhansk People’s Republic and the Donetsk People’s Republic crossed the Russian border. Over 50,500 of them have Ukrainian citizenship while more than 30,000 are Russian citizens,” the source quoted the agency as saying.
It is noted that ‘over 13,500 Donbass residents stay in temporary accommodation facilities in six Russian regions, half of them – in the Rostov Region’. According to TASS, they are mostly women and children.
Earlier it was reported about 60,000 Donbass citizens who arrived in Russia.
