Norwegian Armed Forces increasing level of readiness

The Norway is raising the country’s military readiness in connection with the events in Ukraine – as informed by Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Store, TASS reports

According to the PM, the most important task of the Norwegian Armed Forces is to preserve peace and security and to prevent conflict. "In order to solve this task, we must adapt our activities to the situation we are in," Jonas Gahr Store said.

The politician added that the Russian-Ukrainian conflict forces all the North Atlantic Alliance members to be more vigilant. "We need to increase the level of readiness in our country," the Norwegian Prime Minister stressed.
