Norway to provide military assistance to Ukraine through Britain’s mediation
Norway, through the mediation of the UK, is going to supply three multiple launch rocket systems and about five thousand ammunitions to Ukraine – as reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the Norwegian government’s website
The portal notes that the provision of military assistance to Ukraine will not have negative consequences for the combat readiness of Norway. It is planned that the Scandinavian country will transfer three multiple launch rocket systems to the UK, which in return will send three MLRS of the same type to Kiev.
Norwegian Defence Minister Bjorn Arild Gram believes that the country should provide all possible assistance to Ukraine so that it can defend its freedom and independence. He also noted that the supply of weapons to the territory of Ukraine would not have taken place without close co-operation with the UK.
Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that the supply of weapons to Kiev only prolongs the Ukrainian conflict. According to him, while some countries continue to pump weapons into Ukraine, civilians suffer from shelling.
