Norway allowed direct sale of weapons and defence products to Ukraine

The Norwegian authorities have decided to allow domestic companies to sell weapons and defence products directly to Ukraine, RIA Novosti reports

It is noted that the Norwegian government has decided to allow the direct sale of weapons and defence products of the domestic defence industry to the military structures of Ukraine, and the procedure is already in force since January 1st, 2024.

These measures mean that Norwegian companies can apply to the Foreign Ministry for an export license for direct sales of weapons and defence products to Ukraine. Norwegian Foreign Minister Espen Barth Eide said that such a decision was due to the emergency situation in which Norway and its allies found themselves.
