NOC Head: Belarusians not only like but also know how to hold high-level competitions
The final matches of the 3×3 basketball tournament in Minsk’s Palova-Arena have been attended today by the President of Belarus’ National Olympic Committee, Viktor Lukashenko, noting their emotionality and brightness, BelTA reports
"Emotions are overwhelming. Basketball is one of the most spectacular and exciting sports, especially 3x3 basketball. I congratulate our team on good results. The guys were great, bringing much pleasure. Our girls also played well, but sport is sport, and the strongest wins," Viktor Lukashenko said.
"I attended competitions in different cities for several days – looking at the conditions, talking to athletes, coaches and people who organised the events. You know, the organisation is on a worthy level, and I have once again convinced that we not only like to hold such tournaments, but also know how to do this," the NOC President stressed.
Viktor Lukashenko has also visited today the modern pentathlon competitions, which relay was won by Belarusian sportswomen.
