No alternatives for Belarusian and Russian drugs found in Latvia

The Latvian Ministry of Health did not support the idea of banning medicines from Belarus and Russia, RIA Novosti reports

According to Latvia’s TV3, the country continues to import medical goods and medicines or their raw materials produced in the Russian Federation and Belarus. Since there are no substitutes, the Latvian Ministry of Health does not support the plan to ban them in state and municipal public procurement.

It is reported that about ten percent of medicines that are not registered in Latvia, but are necessary for patients, come to the country from Belarus and Russia.
