Netanyahu: Israeli operation in southern Gaza’s Rafah inevitable

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in his talk with the CBS TV channel, stated that the military operation of the Israeli army in the city of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip is inevitable, adding that only a pause for negotiations is possible, but not a complete cancellation of the operation – as reported by Gazeta.ru

Benjamin Netanyahu noted that if Israel has a deal, the operation will be postponed for a while, but it will happen anyway. If there is no deal, the Israeli army will still conduct a military operation.

The Prime Minister also stated that it would remain weeks, not even months, from the end of the intense phase of hostilities once the Rafah operation starts: Israel's goal is a complete victory over Hamas, and it is within reach.
