NATO’s Regex 2024 headquarters exercise kicked off in Moldova
NATO’s Regex 2024 headquarters exercise has begun in Moldova, within the framework of which seminars will be held on military training in line with Western standards, RIA Novosti reports
“The third seminar as part of the Regex 2024 regional headquarters exercise started today... The exercise is organised with the support of NATO’s Allied Joint Force Command in Naples (Italy) and is aimed at training the military according to Western standards for planning and conducting exercises, managing crisis situations, strengthening and assessing the interoperability of forces in a multinational environment,” the Moldovan Defence Ministry’s press service reported.
The Regex 2024 manoeuvres also include the organisation of several workshops throughout 2024. The first seminar took place from February 16th-March 1st, the second was held from April 22nd-26th.
Moreover, the statement of the Moldovan department indicated that the third seminar is taking place from May 20th-24th at the Agency of for Science and Memory, attended by about 30 representatives from NATO partner countries: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Uzbekistan, Egypt, Jordan, the Kingdom of Bahrain, Morocco, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Tunisia, Egypt, Malta, the African Union (Ghana and Benin), as well as staff officers of the National Army of Moldova.
