NATO base area to increase fourfold in Romania

The area of the Mihail Kogalniceanu NATO base in Romania will increase fourfold after modernisation, TASS reports with reference to Le Monde

It is noted that the enlargement of the base will include an additional runway, as well as an expansion of space for movement and parking of aircraft.

Also, according to media reports, hangars, warehouses, a new control tower and a town with hospitals and schools will be built at the base, where NATO soldiers and their families could live for a much longer period than it is currently possible.
