National Tourism Agency shed light on most popular Belarusian tourist routes

In his talk with Belarus 1 TV channel, Dmitry Morozov, the Director of the National Tourism Agency, enumerated the most popular Belarusian tourist routes and revealed some promising destinations

In particular, Mr. Morozov noted that the list of the most popular routes among tourists remains unchanged, “These are sightseeing tours of Minsk, trips to the castles of Mir and Nesvizh, excursions to Khatyn, the Belovezhskaya Pushcha National Park and the Brest Fortress, as well as trips to Grodno. They are loved by Belarusian and foreign tourists, who can enjoy a high level of service and beautiful sights.”

At the same time, according to the official, new destinations are added every year. “We see that the popularity of excursions to Ruzhany and Kossovo is growing. As soon as a good museum (with the necessary infrastructure, parking lots for a large number of buses and numerous food outlets) opens its doors, travel companies immediately include it into their routes. We see great potential in the direction of Bobruisk, Zhilichi, and Krasny Bereg. For example, after the Zhilichi palace was restored, trips there are becoming increasingly popular among Belarusians, and many Russians are joining as well. Among the niche destinations are Novogrudok, Polotsk and Pinsk, the latter has a very beautiful historical centre. This year, a new location has joined the list: the Roman Catholic Church of St. Mikhail in Novogrudok, which hosted the Travel, Feel, Get Inspired nationwide tour. Interactive excursions to the local dungeon are offered here in the evening, and many people are eager to visit the site,” Mr. Morozov added.
