Association of Badminton Federations of Belarus and Russia established
Head of the National Badminton Federation of Russia Andrey Antropov and Chairman of the Belarusian Badminton Federation Dmitry Oderikho have signed an agreement on the establishment of the Association of Badminton Federations of Belarus and Russia at the Union State Standing Committee, with the participation of State Secretary of the Union State Dmitry Mezentsev. It will be a public association of the two countries’ sports federations, which has defined for itself such a new form of interaction, sb.by reports citing the Union State Standing Committee.
The association was established to share and disseminate successful experience in the development of such a popular sport as badminton, to promote professional communication, to form an effective partnership and active co-operation between the parties in the organisation of physical culture and sports competitions in badminton.
The participants of the meeting noted that the decision was made in the year of the 25th anniversary of the Union State and the 25th anniversary of the National Badminton Federation of Russia.
The issues of joint development of a textbook for training badminton coaches, inclusion of badminton in the programme of the Union State Spartakiad for children and youth, ways of involving specialists in the sphere of physical culture and sports in the development of this Olympic (and mass) sport were discussed. New meetings are scheduled.
