National Statistical Committee: 90% of families in Belarus pleased with their life

Ninety percent of Belarusian families said they are pleased with their lives – as evidenced by data provided by the National Statistical Committee (Belstat), sb.by reports

According to Belstat, Belarus is in the group of countries with a very high level of human development, being ranked 69th out of 193.

It is reported that the average salary in 2023 stood at Br1915.9 – 7.3 times higher than in 2000 in real terms. The average size of pensions last year was Br692.5 – 5.5 times more than in 2000 in real terms.

The level of poverty in our country has also changed. According to the statistical agency, in 2023 it was 3.6 percent – down from 41.9 percent in 2000.
