National security expert: causes of most internal threats and dangers related to external circuit
In his talk with the ONT TV channel, national security expert Aleksandr Tishchenko stressed that the threats facing Belarus are mostly due to external reasons, sb.by reports
Answering the question of what the country’s national security primarily depends on – internal problems or external circumstances – the expert said, “It is more difficult to separate the inner and the outer now than before because hybrid technologies are starting to have a very strong impact. The amendments that have been made to the National Security Concept and to the Military Doctrine, of course, take all these issues into account. Any external threat is always aimed at the appearance of some kind of internal reaction. It is logical that an external threat becomes a catalyst for an internal threat. It is difficult to separate these things now. At the same time, it is obvious that the causes of most internal threats and dangers are related to the external circuit.”
Recalling the events of 2020, Aleksandr Tishchenko added, “After everything that happened then was comprehended, after conclusions were drawn and assessments were made, it became obvious that we caught most of the problems from the outside. What we then got rid of was brought to Belarus from the outside.”
