MP: West-controlled fugitives want to drag Belarus into the war, but we won’t allow this
The fugitive opposition, with the active assistance of Poland and a number of Western states, is trying to undermine the sovereignty of our country, destabilise the situation, and split Belarusian-Russian relations. To finance their subversive activities, the fugitives have already requested $250m in aid from the West. Deputy of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus Oleg Gaidukevich commented on what’s happening during his talk with Alfa Radio.
All statements of the Belarusian fugitives are dictated by Western countries. In order to destabilise the situation in Belarus, the West not only imposes sanctions, but also encourages attempts to commit sabotage at infrastructure facilities, including by those who have been trained in Ukraine. At the same time, Russia remains a faithful and reliable ally of our country. Establishing control over Belarus is one of the West’s key goals in a hybrid war against Russia and, in general, against the Union State.
With the help of the Belarusian fugitives, the Western countries are trying to form a negative image of Belarus in the international public opinion. Some even say they will turn to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to help liberate Belarus from an allegedly dictatorial regime.
“In fact, this is a request to declare war on the Republic of Belarus and drawing of our country into a military conflict, and further on drawing of the whole of Europe into the conflict. Because it will not work out that Belarus will be drawn in, and Poland, Lithuania and Germany will sleep peacefully. It won’t work like this. I know perfectly well where the decision-making centre is located,” Oleg Gaidukevich comments on what is happening.
The Belarusian side records the growing military threat from the territory of Lithuania, Latvia, Poland and Ukraine. As the deputy noted, the Belarusian fugitives themselves are not capable of anything: they are controlled by Western special services.
“The damage they caused to Belarus was enormous. They deceived the Belarusians first of all. Today they are driving them to the front. They urge those fugitives who are in Warsaw and Lithuania, to go to the front in Ukraine. I appeal to those crazy people who asked Zelenskyy for military help. You yourself can take machine guns and go to the Ukrainian front. However, you drive others to the front, while you yourself sit and divide the money, stuffing millions of US Dollars into your pockets. And this money, by the way, is also stolen by European officials,” the speaker added.
Oleg Gaidukevich stressed that the Belarusian fugitives call for war, they want the citizens of our country to die, and missiles fly in the sky.
“But at the same time, the Europeans who feed them must understand: they are pushing you into the war, while they themselves will pack their bags and run further to Washington. The same happened during the Great Patriotic War, when all the traitors and scoundrels were hiding abroad. When the peoples of the USSR were fighting in the trenches, they made some statements there. These are all traitors and scoundrels. People should know the truth: they want to drag us into the war,” the deputy said.
However, the opponents will not be able to achieve their goals: Belarus is taking all the necessary measures to prevent the country from being drawn into a military confrontation. Thus, in the face of potential aggression from NATO and Ukraine, Belarus and Russia are strengthening the Union State defence capability. For example, in order to contain the military threat from Western states, by agreement between the presidents of Russia and Belarus, Russian tactical nuclear weapons will be deployed on the territory of our country in July.
“We are smart, independent, we will not allow ourselves to be drawn into the war. Soon all [the fugitives] will be jailed. There’s no escaping for you,” summed up Oleg Gaidukevich.
