MP: Lukashenko saving Europe from war

In his talk with SB TV, Oleg Gaidukevich, the Deputy Chairman of the Standing Committee on International Affairs of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus, explained how close WWIII is, and whether he believes in the statements of US presidential candidate Donald Trump that he will end the war in Ukraine

Mr. Gaidukevich stated that he believes no one in the West, “Trump was a president in the past, and the US military-industrial facilities are his supporters as well. I believe our President. His recent wise statement needs to be thought over by Europe and the whole world. He said that an attack on Belarus would be the beginning of the Third World War, and it’s true. Poles need to understand now that it is not Belarus that is being dragged into the war, but them. Citizens of France and Germany, wake up! They want to drag not us – Belarusians – into the war, but you, the whole of Europe. Why are we talking about WWIII now? Actually, Americans – when discussing a permit to use long-range missiles to hit distant regions of Russia – think that such attacks would result in a response, when missiles will head to France, Germany and Poland. They will be satisfied with such a development of events. Americans will be not against attacks on Warsaw or Berlin. They are afraid of only one situation: whether these missiles reach Washington and New York or not. Well, they must understand: these missiles will reach them. If there is an attack on Belarus, if the whole of Europe is suddenly involved (this will happen automatically), then Americans will not be able to live through this period safely somewhere on an island. The UK should also remember that it is just an island, and modern weapons can wipe it off the face of the earth. God forbid that we ever get to such a scenario. Russia and Belarus will not lose, they will not kneel. But is such a scenario needed?”

The MP stressed that, speaking about these threats, Aleksandr Lukashenko is saving Europe from war, “He is doing everything to prevent this from happening. He is appealing to all Europeans and Americans. It is no need for them to be our friends, but they should just think about our planet: it is one for all, and we have nowhere to fly away. If this apocalypse breaks out, where will we go? We have not yet mastered Mars and the Moon, we cannot conquer any planet yet. We will have to live here," Mr. Gaidukevich concluded.
