Gosstandart Chair: 660 goods, 217 enterprises apply for State Quality Mark
In her talk with the Belarus 1 TV channel, Chairperson of Belarus’ State Committee for Standardisation (Gosstandart) Yelena Morgunova said that 660 goods and 217 enterprises apply for the State Quality Mark
She noted that the State Quality Mark is presented to the best exclusive products that surpass their analogues, “The pentagon represents the five most basic criteria: safety, manufacturability, innovation, aesthetics and environmental friendliness. The declared types of products – of which were a lot – were assessed according to these indicators.”
The Chairperson of the State Committee for Standardisation said that 660 product names and 217 enterprises apply for the State Quality Mark, “It is clear that the best exclusive products will be much less. Each government agency – which is directly involved in the expertise – developed its own departmental instructions, where it determined the requirements. If we talk, e.g., about innovation, then a whole range of sub-criteria have been developed. These were used to rate a product and award points. After that, the scores were summed up, and the goods that received the maximum number of points are submitted to the Republican Attestation Commission.
The Gosstandart Head also informed that currently up to 100 potential holders of the State Quality Mark are emerging.
