Moldova, Ukraine signed agreement to construct bridge across the Dniester
Moldova and Ukraine have signed a bilateral agreement on the construction of a bridge across the Dniester River near the town of Yampol and the town of Cosăuţi, TASS reports
The corresponding agreement was signed by Deputy Prime Minister for the Restoration of Ukraine – Minister for Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development of Ukraine Oleksandr Kubrakov and Moldovan Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development Lilia Dabija.
The ministry added that the agreement was signed in continuation of the agreements that were reached during the meeting of the presidents of the two countries in 2021. It is reported that the bridge will become a key link in the transport corridor between Kiev and Chisinau, enabling Ukrainian exporters to receive the shortest route from the central regions of Ukraine to the countries of Central and South-Eastern Europe.
It is noted that the total length of the bridge will exceed 1,400m. It will have two traffic lanes, with sidewalks on both sides.
