Moldovan opposition said country’s authorities causing damage to economy by breaking ties with CIS
The course of the Moldovan authorities to break the relations with the CIS and EAEU members is killing the real sector of the country’s economy – as noted in a statement by Moldova’s Revival opposition party, TASS reports
The document reads, “Having taken a course towards breaking relations with the CIS and EAEU member states, the regime in Moldova is killing the real sector of the Moldovan economy and its prospects for growth. The CIS accounts for 13 percent of our country’s trade turnover, covering agricultural products, pharmaceuticals, and textiles. Exports exceed 90 percent for some product groups.”
It is noted that leaving the CIS will lead to dire consequences for the Moldovan social sphere, education, healthcare, while also negatively affecting economic co-operation with the EAEU states with which separate trade agreements have been concluded.
“The colossal damage that will be caused to Moldova is even difficult to calculate,” the statement underlines.
