Minsk Tractor Plant testing pilot paperless production
Minsk Tractor Plant is testing pilot production based on paperless technology, and fifteen terminals have been purchased for this purpose, tractor.bel reports with reference to the company’s press service
“The terminals will make it possible to eliminate the use of paper drawings in production,” Mikhail Ledvik, who heads the MTZ JSC Competence Centre and leads the project, said. “They are equipped with a simple and intuitive interface — the so-called automated workplace of production staff. It visually displays both the technological process and the 3D model of a part. Thanks to this, it will be much easier for any worker to understand what and how should be produced.”
The equipment – which has already been installed in pilot production workshop No. 1 and pilot workshop No. 2 – is to start operating in June. A high-comfort cabin for 80-120HP tractors is expected to be among the products manufactured in the near future using the new terminals.
