Minsk schools host events dedicated to genocide of the Belarusian people
A review of expositions on the genocide of the Belarusian people is taking place at Minsk’s educational institutions, the Education Ministry reports
As noted by the Education Ministry, it is especially important to talk about the problem, to honour the memory of the dead and be interested in genuine historical facts in the Year of Historical Memory. “The campaign focuses on formation of an objective attitude of society to the historical past, preserving and strengthening the unity of the Belarusian people,” it said in a statement.
As a result of the event, all educational institutions in the Belarusian capital will create a section on their websites: Remember Everything. Remember Everyone. It will be daily updated with information about the events held. Museum expositions on the genocide of the Belarusian people will also be refreshed, and a temporary exhibition of collective and individual creative works (poems, essays, photo, drawings, and sketches) will be created.
Thematic events in educational institutions will be attended by employees of the Prosecutor's Office, veterans of the Great Patriotic War, and scientists of the National Academy of Sciences. With the help of an interactive map, it will be possible to visit memorable places of Minsk, as well as places associated with the genocide of Belarusians during the Great Patriotic War.
