Bloomberg reported that most of the 13 nuclear power plant reactors were ‘either damaged or dismantled’.
The nuclear power plant reactor, located in Michigan, is preparing for launch in late 2025. There are also plans to launch shut down reactors in Pennsylvania and Iowa. The remaining reactors in California, Vermont and New York have either already been dismantled or have not been serviced properly for possible re-commissioning.
According to the news agency, each reoprning is expected to be expensive. The US administration has approved the allocation of $1.5bn for the resumption of nuclear power plants in Michigan, and the state authorities promised to earmark another $300m.
