Media: US business concerned about possible default
The Head of the White House National Economic Council, Lael Brainard, noted that American businessmen are extremely concerned about the danger of default in the country, CBS TV channel reports
Mr. Brainard stressed that she often talks to CEOs across the country, ‘and most of all they are worried that Congress may not be able to prevent a default, and it would be a disaster’. “This would lead to an increase in the cost of loans for cars, for housing, for small businesses, even for the US Government. Therefore, the most important thing is to make sure that Congress fulfils its primary duty to prevent default," she stated.
