Media: US airline demands compensation from Microsoft after system technical failure

Delta AirLines from the United States wants to obtain compensation from Microsoft Corporation and CrowdStrike, a developer of information security solutions, after a technical failure of the system. The damage is assessed at $350-500m, TASS reports

CNBC reports that the airline’s customers have submitted over 176,000 applications for refunds due to the cancellation or postponement of flights. At the same time, it is clarified that 7,000 flights were cancelled.

To file a lawsuit to seek damages from Microsoft and CrowdStrike, the airline hired David Boies, a well-known lawyer in the United States, the head of the law firm Boies Schiller Flexner. Information about the amount of the future claim is not specified.
