Media: Italy will need at least two years to restore its stocks of weapons transferred to Ukraine
Italy will need at least two years to restore the stocks of weapons that were transferred to Kiev, TASS reports
Il Messaggero publication, referring to the estimates of companies engaged in the production of ammunition, notes that further support of Kiev is fraught for Italy with the depletion of its arsenals. In this regard, the Italian Defence Ministry will conduct a thorough analysis before sending Ukraine another package of military assistance. It is specified that the upcoming tranche will be the eighth in a row.
As reported, the analysis will be quite long. “It is not about days or weeks, but most likely months,” the publication reads.
The source added that, earlier, Italian Defence Minister Guido Crosetto stated that the country did not have unlimited resources to assist Ukraine.
