Media: China’s defence industry ahead of US in many areas
According to Foreign Affairs magazine, China’s defence industry is actively developing and is ahead of the American one in many areas, including shipbuilding, TASS reports
It is noted that China has ‘already caught up to the United States in its ability to produce weapons at mass and scale’, and in some areas of the military-industrial complex has outstripped Washington and is now a world leader.
Thus, the publication notes that China has become the world’s largest shipbuilding power, whose capabilities now vastly outpace those of the United States, with a production capacity 230 times greater. According to the magazine, between 2021 and early 2024, China also produced over 400 fighter jets and 20 large ships, as well as doubled its stock of nuclear warheads, ballistic and cruise missiles and developed the latest bomber model.
