Media: China became largest investor in energy transition

The white paper titled China’s Energy Transition – published by China’s State Council Information Office – says that the PRC invested $676bn in green ecology in 2023, becoming the largest investor in energy transition, TASS reports

It is noted that China’s energy transition investment reached $676bn last year, enabling the country to become the world’s largest investor in this area.

The document reports that the share of clean energy consumption in China has increased by 10.9 percentage points over the past decade and totalled 26.4 percent in 2024.
