Jinping called China-EU trade-economic co-operation mutually beneficial
Trade and economic co-operation between China and the European Union is mutually beneficial, mutually supplementary and win-win – as stated by Chinese President Xi Jinping during his today’s telephone conversation with the Head of the European Council, Antonio Costa, RIA Novosti reports
It is informed that the telephone conversation took place on the initiative of the European side. The Chinese leader, quoted by the country's Central Television, said, “Trade and economic co-operation between China and the EU has complementary advantages, is mutually beneficial and win-win." The Chinese President expressed hope that the EU would be a partner that Beijing could trust.
Xi Jinping also expressed his conviction that China and the EU should expand openness towards each other, strengthen existing co-operation mechanisms and create new growth points. "China and the EU have no fundamental conflicts of interest or geopolitical contradictions, they are mutually successful partners," the Chinese leader emphasised.
