MAZ expanding geography of city bus supplies to Russian regions
The geography of deliveries of city buses from the Minsk Automobile Works (MAZ) to the Russian regions continues to expand, the enterprise’s press centre reports
“Twenty low-floor MAZ 203 city buses have been supplied to the Russian city of Vladimir,” the company informed. “In the near future, the equipment will be transferred to the customer and will appear on the routes of the administrative centre.”
The factory noted that the arrival of MAZ to the Vladimir Region market is of great importance, because the region boasts its own large local manufacturer of passenger transport.
“Thus, our products have once again demonstrated their competitiveness,” the company stressed.
MAZ 203 is a low-floor three-door bus designed to transport passengers on suburban and urban routes. It includes a folding ramp for a wheelchair with a handle and a ‘kneeling’ body tilt system to facilitate boarding/disembarking of passengers, as well as equipment for attaching a wheelchair.
The Minsk Automobile Works is the flagship of Belarus’ automotive industry, specialising in the production of cargo, passenger, trailer and special equipment. The company manufactures about 500 models and modifications of on-board and all-wheel drive vehicles, dump trucks, chassis, tractors, timber trucks, trailers and semi-trailers, cranes, and special equipment, alongside around 15 models of buses, trolleybuses, and electric buses.
