Mayor of Brussels demanded to stop buses of migrants coming from Hungary at the border
Brussels Mayor Philippe Close called on the Belgian authorities to stop buses of migrants sent by Hungarian government at the state border, TASS reports
According to the Euractiv portal, Mr. Close said that the government of Hungary, which holds the presidency of the European Union, does not shy away from provocations. "I call on Belgian Prime Minister Alexander De Croo and Interior Minister Annelies Verlinden to block buses [with migrants] at the Belgian border," the source quoted the official as saying.
Mr. Close urged the Belgian authorities to think about the question of how long Belgium will tolerate the provocations of the country it subsidises.
Meanwhile, Belgian State Secretary for Asylum and Migration Nicole de Moor expressed the opinion that the EU member states should work together on migration policy without shifting responsibility to each other.
