Major industrial clusters formed in Great Stone Park
Several main clusters are being formed in the China-Belarus Great Stone Industrial Park. According to the park’s press service, the largest is machine-building cluster, which unites 25 projects. 18 resident projects are related to biotechnologies, pharmaceuticals and medical products, while 15 projects are being implemented in the field of electronics and telecommunications. One more cluster deals with complex logistics.
“The Great Stone Park has enterprises with the participation of Chinese corporations producing internal combustion engines for passenger and freight transport, gearboxes, and construction equipment. There are successful projects of Belarusian residents: a joint Chinese-Belarusian enterprise that manufactures unmanned and manned aircraft, as well as a glass manufacturing enterprise for all types of ground transport. In addition, residents of the park produce laser equipment and a wide range of medical products. This year, large infrastructure facilities have been put into operation, including the Fakel (Torch) park of China Sinomach Corporation, and active work is currently underway to fill this project with residents, leading developments in the field of optical technologies, mechanics, electronics, and new materials. In June, a large-scale event took place here: a session of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council dedicated to the EAEU food security. Moreover, this year, a multifunctional complex with hotel rooms and conference halls of China Merchants CHN was put into operation,” the press service noted.
