Major General Kasinsky: history and historical truth became battlefield where we have no right to lose

Today, history and historical truth represent a battlefield where we have no right to lose – as noted by Major General Leonid Kasinsky, the Assistant to the Defence Minister for Ideological Work in the Armed Forces, Chief of the Main Ideological Directorate of Belarus’ Defence Ministry, sb.by reports with reference to the Belarusian Defence Ministry’s press service

“Today, history and historical truth represent a battlefield, where we, all those present here, have no right to lose. If we lose, our country will have no future. The stakes are too high. Those in the West are aimed at our younger generation, because they can longer persuade us. We must not only defend ourselves on this battlefield, but also actively attack. And all those present here, I would say, are not ordinary fighters, but those commanders who lead people,” Mr. Kasinsky said.

On behalf of Defence Minister Viktor Khrenin, he solemnly presented jubilee medals – 80 Years of Belarus’ Liberation from Nazi Invaders – to representatives of the CIS Executive Committee.

“We’re holding many joint events on patriotic education, and this is wonderful. For the first time in the post-Soviet space, our country, the Republic of Belarus, has legislated that the state assumes responsibility for preserving historical truth. This is the order that instructs us to fight on this battlefield,” Mr. Kasinsky accentuated.
