Maduro: Musk spent $1bn on riots and attempted coup in Venezuela

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro said that American entrepreneur, SpaceX owner Elon Musk spent at least $1bn to finance the coup attempts in Venezuela, RIA Novosti reports

“Elon Musk has invested at least $1bn in the coup d’etat, in the fascist rebellion, violence against the electoral process in Venezuela,” Maduro said during the TV programme Con Maduro + (With Maduro +).

The Venezuelan leader has repeatedly criticised the businessman, who, according to Maduro, is obsessed with the idea of governing Venezuela, particularly, the riots in the country were financed by Elon Musk. The businessman has repeatedly responded to criticism using his social network X.
