Lutsky: National Unity Day reflects meaning of life of Belarusians, sovereignty and our future generations
National Unity Day conveys values that are unshakable for every Belarusian, the main one of which is sovereignty. This is an example of how we have managed to preserve our beautiful country for 85 years – as noted by Igor Lutsky, a member of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus, Chairman of the Board of the Second National TV Channel (ONT TV channel).
“Belarus has a fairly well-established calendar of public holidays. National Unity Day is more about the meaning of life of Belarusians. Today I would like to draw attention to the fact that we look at ourselves inside. Wouldn’t National Unity Day be a holiday if it weren’t for September 17th? I think it would be. Why? Because it is a challenge of modernity. September 17th is a celebration of today and a celebration of our future. Nationality, religion, and language are the three paradigms that our opponents, the Western world, are putting pressure on in order to destroy our state,” Igor Lutsky stressed.
According to the Chairman of the Board of the Second National TV Channel, Belarus has two official languages, many religions and nationalities. Our country boasts a big inner life.
“Today, National Unity Day is primarily the meaning of the life of Belarusians, sovereignty and our future generations. Perhaps this is what unity is all about. September 17th is the base, a vivid example of how it is possible to get a beautiful country in a historical moment and preserve it for 85 years,” Igor Lutsky said.
