Lukyanov: only by investing resources and technologies in education, an independent country can be built
The education system is the most important strategic sector of the country, in which resources and technologies must be invested – as noted by First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Belarusian Republican Youth Union (BRSM) Aleksandr Lukyanov in his talk with ONT TV channel
According to the speaker, only by investing resources and technologies in education, it is possible to build an independent country.
“How to make people live and earn in their homeland? Our ally the Russian Federation boasts a huge technological base. Projects such as the Ostrovets nuclear power plant become for decades the locomotive of related industries of Belarusian universities that train personnel. Only by investing resources and technologies in education, without having reserves of gas, oil or metals, which, by the way, was in Ukraine, but fell into the wrong hands, it’s possible to build a truly independent country,” Aleksandr Lukyanov said.
Otherwise, the country will become one large military training ground, the First Secretary of the BRSM Central Committee is convinced.
“The weak always fall first. We see how they are trying to stir up problems among our allies: from Central Asia to the Caucasus, in the far arc of Africa and Latin America. These are very different countries, but they are united by one thing: they are not equal partners for the Western world, and even more so for the Western economy. This means that we must develop ourselves, build our own society, otherwise, as our President says, we will go under the whip, i.e., cover the needs of the Western economy with cheap, and sometimes slave labour,” Aleksandr Lukyanov underlined.
