Lukashenko sent Name Day greetings to Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia
President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko has congratulated Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia on his Name Day, sb.by reports with reference to the Belarusian leader’s press service
"On the memorial day of saints Cyril and Methodius, as a sign of gratitude for many years of tireless work, festive services are held in churches, prayers are said for your health," the congratulatory message reads. “As the primate of the Russian Orthodox Church, you are bringing the ideals of mercy and goodness, the light of spirituality and enlightenment to society. Millions of Christians find comfort and answers to their everyday questions in your archpastoral word."
The Head of State noted the great role of Patriarch Kirill in strengthening fraternal ties between Belarus and Russia. "You are heard and respected far beyond the borders of the Russian land. Today, relying on faith in God and traditional moral values, through Orthodoxy it is possible to achieve peace and harmony in the family of Slavic peoples," the President stressed.
Aleksandr Lukashenko wished Patriarch Kirill inexhaustible energy, health and success in all his endeavours.
