Lukashenko warned people in uniform: no extra money
There will be no extra money to finance the Armed Forces – as noted by President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko during today’s report on the approval of the state investment programme for 2025, BelTA reports
During the event, the Head of State criticised the plans to build some facilities that are not of high priority or not in most demand, including those for the needs of the security forces, e.g., this concerned the construction of training and sports grounds for servicemen.
“I want to warn people in uniform: there will be no extra money. Where we can do [without financing], we must do without it,” the President stressed.
“We’ve agreed that there should be no excessive regimentation in the Armed Forces. The Armed Forces should have physically trained people. But if something is needed somewhere, you tell us, and we’ll take a decision,” Aleksandr Lukashenko noted.
