Lukashenko voiced plans of fugitives on the eve of presidential elections: they want to create situation of pre-mutinous nature
On the eve of the presidential elections in Belarus, fugitive opponents are developing various scenarios for stirring the society up again – as noted by President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko at today’s If We Are United patriotic forum
The Head of State commented on the hot topics related to security. The Belarusian leader noted that, even on holidays, the working atmosphere dominates, reminding that he had addressed working issues in his speech on the eve of Independence Day. Aleksandr Lukashenko emphasised, “Since they [these issues] are serious and important, I thought I’d better tell you about them. The recent news is that our fugitives, who have already realised that they are not needed there and were not actually waited for, are looking for ways out of this situation. Note that we did not expel anyone, we did not oust anyone. Being aware of their actions, they left on their own.”
The President has repeatedly said that some of them, who consider themselves so-called leaders, asked the President for help – and he helped them. “I am not talking about it yet. The time will come, and we will not just tell you, but also show. Meanwhile, in order to stir up our society again, to create a situation of a pre-mutinous nature on the eve of the presidential elections, they are starting to elaborate action plans,” the Head of State noted.
There have already been attacks in the media, and Aleksandr Lukashenko said that the country is trying to respond adequately, “Evidence of this is the launch of our information channel today: the First [Information TV Channel]. That's a decent answer. They also do not give up the idea of an armed attack on Belarus. This is how, as the secret services of the West say, our [fugitives] will fight for power here. We understand how it happens. The rabid ones from among Belarusians are in the lead, followed by those who are not from here. We witnessed that in 2020 (they failed then), and they consider this scenario as well. Troops and brigades are being prepared, they used to be called Vlasov followers. Together with ‘Russian’ Vlasov followers, they were penetrating into the Kursk Region. Actually, there are no more than a hundred of them, but they all dream of coming here with weapons in their hands.”
