Lukashenko visiting Molodechno District on working trip

President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko is visiting Molodechno District of the Minsk Region on a working trip

The Head of State is expected to get acquainted with the work of the Spartan-Agro farm and apple harvesting. The Belarusian leader will also be reported on the development of fruit growing in the country.

Spartan-Agro primarily specialises in the cultivation of crops for the production of beverages. The company is engaged in growing apples and agricultural products. In 2023, it earned Br3,642,000 from the sales of its goods. By late 2024, it is planned to increase sales revenue by 50 percent compared to a year earlier.

According to the Agriculture and Food Ministry, last year, imports of apples in Belarus dropped by 66 percent compared to 2021 (from 127 to 43.3 thousand tonnes); at the same time, the sales of domestically-grown apples in total sales increased by 66 percent to reach 31 thousand tonnes.
