Lukashenko: true artiste must always create for the people, with the exception of their enemies
After the solemn ceremony of awarding cultural workers, People’s Artiste Tatiana Mironova, the leading stage master of the Yanka Kupala National Academic Theatre, addressed the Belarusian Head of State with words of gratitude
“On behalf of all those awarded, I would like to thank you for supporting Belarusian culture. You have opened a new page in our theatre. You trusted us and we didn’t let you down. I am proud that we have a director, young artistes, that a new young theatre is being born. I also thank you for the appreciation of my work. People’s Artiste of Belarus sounds proud.”
Artistes on behalf of creative people presented the President with flowers and a gift.
Aleksandr Lukashenko thanked them, saying, “I think that in a year there will be more of you. The first step is the hardest. Congratulations again. Live long and create for your people. A true artist, a worker of art, must always create for the people, with the exception of their enemies. I wish you success!”
