Lukashenko sent National Day greetings to people of Spain
On behalf of the Belarusian people and himself, President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko has congratulated the people of Spain on their national holiday — the National Day of Spain – sb.by reports with reference to the Belarusian leader’s press service
“Over the centuries, our countries have repeatedly been the arenas of struggle of other states, places of collision of ‘centres of power’ and even civilisations. And each time, both peoples had to fight hard and stubbornly for freedom and independence,” the congratulatory message reads. “In these trials, both Spaniards and Belarusians showed the best traits, such as national dignity, patriotism, striving for a peaceful and stable lifestyle, perseverance and courage in defending their religion, culture and traditions.”
The Head of State expressed confidence that – despite the modern transformation of the world order – the citizens of Belarus and Spain will remain adherents of an independent path of development, bearers of traditional values, among which peace, family and creative work for the benefit of the Fatherland are the most important.
“On this festive day, on behalf of all Belarusians, I cordially wish the people of Spain unity, harmony and prosperity. I assure you of our invariably friendly attitude and invite you to Belarus,” Aleksandr Lukashenko said.
